On 18th November we were delighted to attend the 15th annual Pride In Oldham awards ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham and be part of a celebration to mark all that is good about the town. As you may have read earlier, the practice was nominated by Mrs Janet Allen, for the innovative approach used in the treatment of her dog Tilly. The evening was certainly glittering and featured a host of nominees and finalists in categories such as Community, Education, Charity etc. County’s End were one of the three finalists in the Business category alongside Diane’s Sandwich Bar and Shaw Autopoint. All three companies were invited onstage for the grand golden envelope moment and it’s fair to say we were all utterly dumbfounded when host Marjorie Stevenson announced that County’s End were the winners! It really was like the Oscars! This Pride In Oldham Award is the crowning highlight of 2016 (so far!) having earlier been voted Best Pet Care Provider in Lancashire, plus the ongoing (until the end of a January next year) Petplan Awards. For a full roundup of the event please visit our Facebook page. Thanks a million to Mrs Allen and anyone else who voted for the practice. We do what we do without desire of recognition or reward but the occasional bit really does make our job at County’s End extra special.
