Kennels
Kennels

Our wards are fitted with a range of kennels to suit each pet we hospitalise. We have kennels suitable for all sizes, species and needs- from our tinted-doored kennels for our small mammal and bird patients to our large walk-in kennel for our larger patients!
We also have a seperate ward called the 'Isolation ward', where animals with infectious diseases are hospitalised, here extra precautions are taken to prevent cross-infection.
When your pet stays with us, the majority of their time will be spent in these wards, so ensuring that they are comfortable, both mentally and physically, is essential. We use vet-beds in our kennels for both comfort and hygiene, however we can use the animal's own bedding from home if the owner feels this would increase their pets comfort, especially for cases where the animal is staying with us for a long period of time.
A nurse is always on duty in this area to closely monitor each animal, in general, or both pre and post anaesthetic. Everything that happens with/to your pet, such as medication, is recorded down on paper and from there it is transferred to the computer and onto your pets clinical records.
The kennels and bedding are both thoroughly cleaned daily and after each discharge, as hygiene is absolutely vital in all areas of our hospital.
