Nurses
Carol Finan RVN

Carol is a qualified Veterinary Nurse & she returned to County's End in June 2011, having worked here at the hospital previously. Veterinary nursing has been a way of life for her for over 30 years and she has a particular interest in feline behaviour.
She enjoys all aspects of her work and will happily take Xrays, run blood tests, clean kennels, set up drips, dispense repeat medication, sterilise equipment, see pets in clinic, bandage legs, empty bins, make coffee for thirsty staff... etc
Outside of work, Carol goes back home to Halifax where she lives with her two teenage children, cats Lulu & Turk, and runs a busy cat sitting business.
Sophie Dunkerley RVN

Sophie joined Countys End Veterinary Hospital in July 2011. She qualified in 2010 as a veterinary nurse, completing the foundation degree at Myerscough College. She particularly enjoys the clinical side to nursing though she enjoys all aspects of the job! She works here full time as well as covering out-of-hours a few nights each week.
Sophie thrives at emergencies and, in general, the hospital atmosphere. Prior to this, Sophie worked at a clinic in Bury and trained at a tier 3 hospital in Macclesfield, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Sophie has two cats called 'Rodney' and 'Wilma' which were both rescued. Out of hours, Sophie enjoys running, shopping, reading and generally socialising with friends and family.
Shelley Taylor SVN

Shelley is a 3rd year foundation degree veterinary nursing student who has been with us since September 2009. She studies at Myerscough College and because she is in and out of college throughout the year, you may not see her!
Shelley enjoys participating in surgical procedures. She also likes communicating to clients one to one in nurse consultations about their pets needs.
Out of working hours, Shelley plays for a badminton team in Rochdale and loves spending time with her family and friends. She owns two Yorkshire terriers called Millie and Poppy both of whom came to the Practice as strays!
Shelley bakes a mean Pavlova!
Naomi Dore SVN

She likes Dental therapy procedures and also enjoys her nurse consultations such as new puppy check-ups as she likes communicating with clients and getting to know patients!
Outside of work Naomi likes to go horse-riding and shopping (and loves designer hand-bags!) she also attends Pro-Co College every week where she is studying NVQ Level 3 in Veterinary Nursing.
