Dr Joanna Bednarska

Joanna Bednarska Lek.Wet., MRCVS

Originally from Poland, Joanna qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Wroclaw in 2006, she moved to England later that year and worked in Cumbria for fourteen months before moving to Oldham in 2008 when she bought the Practice. Joanna loves spending time with her patients and really thrives at the surgery side of her job, especially orthopaedics. Joanna is studying for the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice.  She rarely has time for herself as she is very much a workaholic!

Although when she does get a minute to relax she enjoys riding her Friesian horse, going to the gym, reading and especially shopping as she has always had a keen eye for bargains!

Dr Katie Ford

Katie Ford BVSc (Hons) Cert AVP (SAM), MRCVS

Katie graduated with a distinction from the University of Liverpool in 2012. She joined the County’s End team in April 2013, following working at a very busy practice in West Yorkshire; this meant that although she had not been qualified for long, she had seen a vast number of cases and gained considerable surgical experience. In 2016 Katie gained the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice, focusing on Small Animal Internal Medicine. She is one of only few clinicians in the area to hold this accreditation.  Like Joanna, she is very much a workaholic; a great deal of time is spent actively trying to get her to leave at the end of her shift!

In Katie’s spare time, she has three dogs at home to keep her busy. She enjoys competing in agility and flyball, and has even competed at the European Championships and in the USA/Canada. Katie presents a monthly radio feature on Oldham Community Radio 99.7FM as part of County’s End community outreach and education service.

He will be starting an Advanced Certificate in soft tissue surgery later in 2018. In his spare time, Rob is a keen sportsman and enjoys travelling and is a musical multi-instrumentalist!
