Please note the practice will be open on Good Friday (appointments only) between 9.00am and 1.00pm.  Our normal hours apply to Easter Saturday (8.30am to 1.00pm) and Easter Sunday (11.30am-1.00pm).  We will be open on Easter Monday (appointments only) between 9.00am and 1.00pm.  Normal opening hours apply from Tuesday onwards.  Our 24 hour emergency service for registered clients of the practice will operate as normal.  Please be aware that during the Easter period, we will have a highly qualified locum veterinarian on duty.  At this time of year, please do take extra care with Easter items around the home – chocolate is extremely toxic to pets, along with hot cross buns, Easter plants etc.  Have a safe and Happy Easter.

Practice Opening Hours

The practice is open 7 days per week. At these times, it is possible to collect pre-arranged prescriptions, make over the counter purchases and book appointments.  At Bank or Public Holidays, please check our Facebook page for latest opening times.

Monday – Friday: 8.00am-7.00pm
Saturday: 8.30am-1.00pm
Sunday: 11.30am-1.00pm

Consultation Times

At County’s End we pride ourselves on providing 20 minute long consultations, rather than the industry standard or 5 or 10 minutes. This allows us to put your pet at ease, gather all of the necessary information and allow enough time for a full clinical examination. The veterinary surgeons consult at the following times:

Monday – Friday: 9.00am-11.00am, 2.00pm-4.00pm and 5.00pm-6.30pm
Saturday: 9.00am-12.30pm
Sunday: 11.30pm-1.00pm

To ensure that all pets get the time that they deserve, we work only on pre-arranged appointments. For emergencies in regular hours, we will see patients as soon as possible; our nursing team will often triage patients and begin to take information from you until the vet is available. Our reception team will keep you informed if your appointment is likely to be subject to a delay due to an emergency. We thank you for your patience and understanding in these occasional situations.

Out of Hours Emergencies

We are proud to provide our own emergency service for our registered clients. This means that if you are ever in the unfortunate position overnight that your pet is taken ill, your regular team of vets and nurses are on hand for advice and treatment. We do not send our clients to distant, external centres and you can have peace of mind that we have your pet’s medical record easily available to us. Please note that additional fees apply for this service.
